Because the lenses in their eyes are clearer, children’s eyes are more susceptible to UV radiation exposure. UV rays are invisible, high-energy rays of light from natural sunlight or artificial sources, which can damage the eye’s surface tissues and internal structures like the cornea, lens and macula, which are vital to good vision. Once damage occurs, it cannot be reversed. Sunglasses and a wide-brimmed hat or baseball cap are a great idea on sunny and even overcast days as most of the sun’s rays can even come through clouds. Happy Thanksgiving!
In honor of this holiday of gratitude, Andrew Stone Optometry will be closed Thursday November 24th, Friday November 25th, Saturday November 26th and Sunday November 27th. We will be back in the office on Monday.

Andrew Stone Optometry is celebrating during the Village of Cherry Hill Holiday Festival.
The Holiday Festival will be Thursday December 1st, 2011 from 5pm to 8pm in the Village of Cherry Hill. There will be lots of fun for the whole family. The kids can enjoy the magic tree, music, face painting, crafts, carriage rides and Santa will be there too! You can browse our showroom to see our current eyewear specials and shop for presents and gift certificates.
