Eye Care
Eye Care Services – Yes, We Offer optomap® Retinal Examinations!
Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Routine eye examinations are important for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease including glaucoma and diabetes. Our examinations include visual acuities, color vision testing, depth perception testing, muscle balance testing, testing for glaucoma and cataracts and other ocular diseases, and determination of your prescription. Dr. Stone utilizes the Topcon CV-5000 Vision Tester. The small size and open structure allows Dr. Stone to view a patient’s expression during the refraction. Monitoring of the patient’s expression is important and the patient should be relaxed during refraction. The fast lens rotation speed on the CV-5000 provides more comfort for the patient by reducing ocular stress and decreasing refraction time.
Contact Lens Examinations
Dr. Stone utilizes a corneal topographer which maps the entire surface of the cornea for an exceptional fit. We carry many brands of disposables, daily wear and gas-permeable lenses to provide for your unique contact lens needs.
Retinal Imaging
In our continued efforts to bring the most advanced technology available to our patients, Andrew Stone Optometry is proud to announce the inclusion of the optomap retinal imaging and Topcon Retinal Camera as an integral part of your eye exam.
Visual Field Analysis
Our office is equipped with an Octopus Visual Field Analyzer which tests the functioning of the retina, optic nerve and the optic pathways from the eye to the brain. It helps detect conditions such as glaucoma or tumors.
Lasik Consultations and Post Op Care
One of the most exciting advances in vision care has been refractive surgery. Dr. Stone can perform an initial evaluation to determine if an patient is a good candidate for laser vision correction, and provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing LASIK and other forms of laser eye surgery.
